This course is the tie between the basic course and the advanced level 1. We will run on rivers with whitewater category 2.
Here we will repeat the contents of the basic course and go into more depth. This course is especially fitting for people who don’t want to go right to the advanced level after doing the basic course. It is also great for people who did the basic course some time ago, to get into the flow again.
Course contents:
- Repeating the basic strokes
- Paddel support
- Learning new strokes (e.g. the sweep)
- Fluid dynamics
- Eddy driving
- Driving in a group (Hand signs etc.)
- Assessment of dangers in the river
- Swimming and right behaviour in whitewater
Preconditions:
- good swimming knowledge
- Safe driving on whitewater category 1 and 2
